About the Role

The Head of Social Media and Strategic Communications will lead the development of strategic communications solutions and focus on elevating the public profile of the company. Online efforts would include managing the social media platforms of the company including content creation, digital campaigns & strategy. Offline efforts include supporting the company brand messaging
and managing media relations & strategy. CTC: 6-9 LPA

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in social media / content creation / media relations / communications ideally within the social or educational sector & an undergraduate/postgraduate degree in a related field.

  • Should be aware of and in touch with GenZ culture and trends.

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.

  • Experience producing digital content and managing social accounts for a small to medium sized organisation is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Familiarity with social media marketing, Canva /Adobe photoshop or other editing software is a bonus.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, build, maintain our social media presence and come up with campaigns targeted towards growing the reach of our brand & customer acquisition across Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin & Youtube.

  • Help develop a brand voice & identity and communicate that identity across platforms.

  • Suggesting solutions to boost web presence; keeping up-to-date with our audience’s preferences and building strong client relationships through social media interaction.

  • Creating engaging content for all of our social media platforms.

  • To serve as chief media strategist and company spokesperson; responsible for identifying and building relationships with new and existing partners, reporters, producers and schools to increase media coverage.

  • Drive editorial story planning, writing and pitching to both national & international press, to ensure the coverage of the business’s/product’s programs, events, public announcements, among other projects.

  • Proactively seek and manage strategic executive visibility opportunities for the organization. Plan, prepare, and distribute original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.

  • Lead day-to-day communications activities inclusive media budgeting, planning, and auditing on top of providing branding counsel to marketing teams.
